Founded in 1981 by Neil Leiman, Leiman & Associates has been part of the San Diego community, serving residents from all over the county. In 2006, Amanda Romano, Neil’s daughter joined the practice to better accommodate the needs of an ever growing client base. Amanda has quickly developed the skill set necessary to navigate her clients through their financial hurdles. She is fully certified and CTEC licensed by the State of California, and remains current and up to date on all tax laws and regulations. Some of Amanda’s professional accomplishments include:

In 2010, Ajit Ahooja joined the practice to diversify the firms’ product offerings to our clients. Ajit spent over five years in finance for a Fortune 200 public company as financial analyst and Controller. Ajit was responsible for executing all of the company’s internal and external reporting associated with SOX compliance and GAAP. Additionally, he assumed responsibility for maximizing the return on company’s financial assets and for establishing financial policies, procedures and reporting systems. In addition to managing all financial aspects, Ajit was involved with developing and deploying location strategy to improve sales and efficiencies throughout the plant.

Prior to joining the public sector, Ajit was involved with four startup companies. He has held similar roles with start up ventures, serving as Director of Finance, CEO, and analyst in his 10-year tenure. Ajit has a solid track record in finance and organizational leadership, with a passion for entrepreneurial ventures. Ajit’s professional accomplishments include:

In 2010, Mike Richards partnered with Leiman and Associates and brought a wealth of knowledge and experience from both the public and private sectors.  Mike worked for 6 years as the Operations Manager for a Fortune 200 public company.  He was responsible for developing and executing budgetary plans as well as creating cost-reducing initiatives and productivity improvements.   Mike is an expert at ensuring budgeted expectations are met or exceeded for the company’s Return on Assets.  Mike was a key member of the development team to create both short and long term strategic initiatives as well as 5 and 10 year financial models.

Prior to his tenure with a public firm, Mike worked with several large private companies.  He has worked both in the US and internationally having developed companies in China, Mexico and Europe.  He has experience working with clients in over 80 countries throughout the international business community.  He was responsible for executing multi-million dollar financial plans and ensuring compliance to budgeted expectations.

Mike and his family have lived in Temecula for over 10 years.  He is active within the community donating his time to youth organizations and charitable endeavors.  He is Board Member of the Regional AYSO in Temecula and has worked with Habitat for Humanity both locally and internationally.
